Round table discussion on the East Sea

The guests included: Ambassador Le Cong Phung – former Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Pham Chi Lan - former Vice Chairman and Secretary General at Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam, Ambassador Chu Cong Phung - former Director, an expert on China, Prof. Dr. Do Tien Sam - former president of the Institue of China, Dr. Nguyen Hung Son - deputy Director of the Institute of the East Sea studies. The president of CSSD, Ambassador Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Truong presided over the meeting, CSSD’s advisors: Mr. Ho Sy Tue - national security senior expert, Ambassador Pham Van Que, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Luan took part in the discussion.

Round table discussion on the East Sea

The discussion focused on the time and place that China deployed HD-981 relating to economic - political, domestic and foreign issues, the consequences of the conflicts caused by HD-981; the policy tendency of China as well as the involved nations related to the East Sea and scenarios.
